Overview
The 2014 Apex KS3 Reverse (Formerly 2014 BKM 35N) was a German sports car that was added to Driving Empire on December 23rd, 2021. Upon its introduction, it replaced the 2016 Autti A-Series as one of the two starter vehicles, the other being the 2018 Holiday Turismo. Players could obtain this as their starter car when the player first joined the game or could purchase this from the dealership for $19,500.
This vehicle was based on the first-generation BMW 2 Series, specifically the convertible model. Acting as a successor to the 1 Series, it was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, and released in early 2015. The 2 Series is available in multiple trims with varying engines and performance, with 0-60 times ranging from as high as 8.9 seconds to as low as 4 seconds. Convertible models feature an electric convertible top that can be raised or lowered in 20 seconds, at speeds up to 50 km/h (31 mph). The first-generation 2 Series ended production in 2021 to make way for its successor.
Performance
For a starter car, the car featured an average performance. Its top speed of 168 mph was average for its price point and its acceleration was lackluster, as expected for a starter vehicle. This allowed it to perform decently well in most races against vehicles of similar pricing. Its handling was slightly below average, but it could still perform turns decently well, however it would understeer slightly more compared to other similarly priced vehicles. Despite its average performance, it still performed better than its counterpart, the Honda Accord Touring, capable of outperforming it in most scenarios. This made the BMW 2 Series the better pick as a starter car over the Honda Accord Touring.
Overall, a decent starting vehicle, but would be quickly outclassed by more expensive vehicles.
