Overview
The 2022 BKM 44i was a German luxury car in Driving Empire. It was added to the game on July 23rd, 2021, but was later removed from the game on March 12th, 2022, in favour of the 2022 BKM S4. During its availability, players could purchase this vehicle for $49,000. Those that had this vehicle prior to its removal were refunded for 125% of the vehicle's cost.
The BKM 44i is based on the current G22 generation of the BMW 4 Series, a compact executive car introduced in June 2020 to succeed the F32 4 Series. The G22 4 Series has a wider track than its predecessor and has 50/50 weight distribution. Models vary from diesel to petrol engines of varying sizes and types, with power outputs ranging from 181-382hp and 0-60 times ranging from 7.5-4.3 seconds. All models are electronically limited to reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) and are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The BKM 44i featured average performance compared to vehicles below its price, however past its price point most vehicles easily outclassed it. The top speed of 155 mph could only compete against cheaper vehicles, as the more costlier vehicles had higher top speeds. The acceleration was average, but rather slow in the later gears, and its handling was similar to most vehicles at its price point. This was, overall, an average car; it could perform decently in all races against cheaper vehicles, but it would be quickly outclassed by later vehicles. As a result, it was best to treat this as a collector or roleplaying vehicle.
