This article is about the Ferrari 599XX. You may be looking for its road-going counterpart, the 599 GTO.
Overview
The Cavallo 799XX was an Italian track car in Driving Empire and was added on December 8, 2020, being one of the vehicles that required the Track Cars Access Gamepass which costs 125. This, plus its $1,940,000 price tag, placed it in hypercar territory, making it a rather pricy car. The vehicle was removed on April 7, 2023, alongside all other Cavallos, and anyone who had this vehicle was refunded for 150% of the vehicle's price.
The 799XX was based on the Ferrari 599XX, a track-only version of the 599, which was introduced at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. It had received many exterior enhancements to improve nimbleness, responsiveness, and downforce. These changes allowed the car to generate 280 kg of downforce at 124 mph (200 km/h) and 630 kg of downforce at 186 mph (299 km/h). With a rev limiter increase to 9,000 rpm, the car now made 720 hp and, with the help of lightened engine components and an improved gearbox, could reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, on its way to a redline limited top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h). Just 44 were made.
Performance
The 799XX was a significant improvement over the subpar 799, being a much quicker and more agile car. Its top speed received a significant improvement, making it competitive against most vehicles in its price range, although a few vehicles were capable of reaching higher top speeds. Its acceleration was acceptable, if not below average, but it no longer had the atrocious high-range acceleration like on the 799, meaning it could keep up with most vehicles. However, the 799XX had excellent handling, which while not special on its own, as many other cars feature similar handling, it could dominate handling-focused races when combined with its top speed. The 799XX as a result was a well-rounded, balanced car, that could do well on most tracks.
Overall, it was a solid performer for its price, and was worth buying.
