Overview[]

The 1959 Echo Noob Buster is an American classic car in Driving Empire that was added on October 29, 2022 as one of 10 vehicles in the 2022 Halloween Update Originally, the vehicle could only be obtained from the Graveyard Dealer (Shadow Graveyard) at the Spookfest location for 2,099 candies. Though, due to the removal of Spookfest, the vehicle was then sold as a limited for only 24 hours on November 6, 2022 with a price tag of $471,920. As a result, only 11,945 were sold.

The vehicle is based on the Ectomobile from the the movie, Ghostbusters where it had the official nickname, ECTO-1. However, the car itself is actually based on a Sixth generation Cadillac Type 62 model fit with the Miller-Meteor ambulance body design. This classic was manufactured by Cadillac in 1959, and only about 25 were ever produced.

Performance[]

In-game, it is one of the worst vehicles for performance on all four races as it possesses the worst top speed, yet average brakes, handling and acceleration. However, that trait can be seen as a double-edged sword: While it's easy to use yet fun, it struggles to compete with most cars on all races. Overall, it can be served as a collectors car and it shouldn't be used for competition.

Trivia[]

  • Back in the Spookfest update, there was a special location in downtown Wayfort built for this vehicle. This was removed after the Spookfest's unexpected early end.
  • This is one of the two movie films cars to be added to Driving Empire. The other one being the 1981 Vitesse T88.
  • The vehicle is named the "Noob Buster mobile", even though the insignias feature images of ghosts rather than the stereotypical noob appearance.
