The 2017 Helix Ghost is a Swedish hybrid-electric hypercar in Driving Empire that was added on December 11, 2020 primarily as the 2017 Koenigsegg Ghost, which was, in reality, the Egg Ghoul, to the confusion of many. To know more, see the article Egg Ghoul at the bottom of the page. Players were able purchase this vehicle for $3,899,996.
The car is based on the Koenigsegg Regera, a limited production, plug-in hybrid grand touring sports car manufactured by Swedish automotive manufacturer Koenigsegg. It was unveiled at the March 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The name Regera is a Swedish verb, meaning "to reign" or "to rule." Koenigsegg plans to produce only 80 units of the car, all of which have been sold.
The Regera was developed and designed to be a more practical, luxurious, grand touring alternative to the rest of Koenigsegg's lightweight sports car lineup; initially the Agera and currently the Jesko. As a result, it is less focused on-track performance and spartan weight reduction and more focused on the smooth and instant delivery of power provided by its overhauled powertrain. Koenigsegg states that the Regera will be one of the most powerful and fastest-accelerating hybrid production cars produced.
The introduction of the Regera alongside the Agera RS in 2015 resulted in Koenigsegg, for the first time ever, simultaneously having two models in production. This role was passed from the Agera to the Jesko in 2019, which has since shared the production line with the Regera.
This car was able to smash all the former 0-400-0 records, held previously by Bugatti Chiron (42s) and the Koenigsegg Agera RS (36.44 and 33.29), with a staggering time of 31.49s. No one, or no car ever has smashed this record till this very day.
Performance[]
The Helix Ghost (Koenigsegg Regera) is often regarded as one of the best cars in the game. While its mediocre stats - especially top speed - may seem overpriced, this car proves to be the best in several races.
Drag Race: This car is easily the best drag race car. With FWD, this car averages a 6.2, and can even go 5.9 (with Premium Boost) or even A SOLID 5.93 (use supercharger). This car has the fastest acceleration in the game, and this is due to it only having one gear.
Highway Race: This car is extremely fast at highway race. While it's unimpressive top speed of 255 mph (286 mph when maxed) may seem like this car would be bad, it's god-tier acceleration makes up for it (if the car is in FWD, it can hit its top speed before the second checkpoint).
Circuit Race: This car's handling is mediocre, and driving this car in circuit race requires a decent amount of skill. However, due to the Regera's relatively good brakes, this should not be a problem. The quick acceleration helps a lot as well.
Cross Country Race: This car absolutely dominates cross country. Due to its somewhat high top speed (compared to other cars) combined with its acceleration and handling, this car is able to defeat other, more expensive cars (such as the Henray Poison F5). However, similarly to in the circuit race, this car requires a bit of skill to drive. This car might also be harder to drive than the Air Nebula due to its lower handling percentage and faster acceleration.
Due to its insane accel, it's the 2nd FASTEST CAR on Drawbridge.
Overall, this car is an excellent purchase and can be used in variety of races.
