Overview

The 2022 Helix Hydra is a Swedish hypercar in Driving Empire that was added on March 12, 2022 as one of the featured limited vehicles, alongside the 2019 Helix Catalyst, the 2022 Avidore 4.0F and the 2010 Avidore Fury H2FLK. It was available for 5 days, but with it being the third most expensive limited vehicle at the time, costing $9,999,996, only 2,822 were sold.

This vehicle is based on the Koenigsegg Jesko Hydra, a one-off special version of the Jesko. Named after the nine-headed mythological creature Lernaean Hydra, it comes in a special purple carbon fiber finish which glitters when exposed to light and features a custom aero package with a front splitter, canards, louvres and shark fins. Other cosmetic changes include a black interior with purple stitching, hollow wheels and Hydra badging on the shark fins and interior. Aside from these changes, it is essentially a regular Jesko, as it is powered by the same 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which produces 1,280 hp, which can be bumped up to 1,600 hp on E85 biofuel, and 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) of torque.

Performance

The 2022 Helix Hydra performs similarly to the base Helix Y, despite it costing slightly over double the price, trading a slight decrease in top speed for a slight increase in acceleration and a noticeable increase in handling. However, this does not make the Hydra any less competitive, as even at its extreme price it will outperform most vehicles in the game. It is capable of dominating any race, especially the Circuit Race, where only a handful of vehicles can keep up with it, making it an excellent car overall. Its main downside is its acceleration, as, while it is good on its own, vehicles such as the Bugatti Bolide, Rimac Nevera, or Ferrari FXX can easily outpace the Hydra with their superior acceleration while still having similar handling values.
