Overview[]
Housing is a feature inside of Driving Empire that has been within the game since the release of Wayfort ALPHA. Before the Housing Update, players could claim homes by clicking on the "FOR SALE" sign located at the front of the house. The player also had the ability to move out of their current home by clicking the red home button on the bottom right of their screen if they chose to. Though, players weren't able to interact with interior of the house.
In the Housing Update, the feature was completely revamped featuring eight different home blueprints that the player can purchase ranging in plot size, square feet, number of bed and bathrooms, and garage space. Once they've purchased a home blueprint from the shop, they can drive or teleport to the revamped neighborhood and claim different size plots to spawn different size houses they purchased from the blueprint shop. However, the player can only claim one plot in this location to spawn a house. Players should also note that there is a 30 second countdown between claiming other house plots in the neighborhood. Inside the houses, the player can interact with many of the items such as doors, lights, beds, sinks, and other miscellaneous commodities. They can also invite friends to become roommates and hang out within their home.
