Overview[]
The 1961 Jaguar E-Type Coupe is a British sports car that was added to Driving Empire on July 3, 2024. This vehicle is currently available for a limited time, and can be purchased by players for $750,000.
Based on the Jaguar D-Type, the Jaguar E-Type began production in 1961, and lasted until 1974. Designated as a car built to be a grand tourer, the E-Type had an emphasis on performance, which was evident when its top speed and quarter mile times were taken into account. The sleek, long-nosed design styling contributed to the E-Type's fame as a beautiful car, being dubbed by many a design masterpiece. Combined with its performance, the E-Type is sometimes considered to be one of the most iconic cars of the 1960s.
In-Game Information[]
The Jaguar E-Type was initially teased on July 2, the day before its release. The same day as the original sneak peek, the car was put on display in-game on a podium. The following day, on July 3, 2024, the vehicle was released as a limited vehicle, and made available for 8 days.
Performance[]
A low top speed of a 149 MPH, combined with its mediocre handling clearly define the E-Type Coupe as a collector's car, rather than something to be used for competitive racing. Considering its price tag, there are many better options such as the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, which boasts superior stats in every category by a massive margin.
As a result, it is recommended that players treat this vehicle as a collector's vehicle. That being said, its status as a limited vehicle makes it a worthy purchase for the sake of its status.

Trivia[]
- The in-game release of the E-Type Coupe was somewhat unusual due to the vehicle being released on a Wednesday rather than a Friday. This was due to Independence day being the following day.
- The E-Type Coupe shares its sounds with its relative, the Jaguar D-Type.
- This is the first limited car to have a Robux purchase option in the shop and Cars & Motorcycles Dealership.
