Overview[]

The 1970 KB E1 (Formerly 1963 JB Series 4, JB Series 5) is a British sports car that was added to Driving Empire in the Spookfest 2022 event for 6,150 candies. Players could only purchase this vehicle at the Witch Dealer (Witchy Villa) at the Spookfest location. During the unexpectedly early end of the event, the vehicle did not make a come back to the dealership as a limited for 24 hours, which makes it one of the two rarest cars from the event alongside the 1954 Ziblinglo 2K, and it is also one of the rarest recently introduced cars in the game.

The vehicle is based on an Aston Martin DB5, a classic Grand Tourer Car that was manufactured by Aston Martin from 1963-1965. Only 1,059 units were produced (including five Convertibles and a one-off Shooting Brake version), it is one of the rarest Aston Martin models of all time. Although not the first in the DB series, the DB5 is the best-known cinematic James Bond car, first appearing in the James Bond film Goldfinger (1964).

Performance[]

In-game, it's one of the worst on Drag and Highway yet one of the slowest on Circuit and Cross Country as it possesses worst top speed yet average brakes, handling and acceleration. However, that trait can be seen as a double-edged sword: While it's easy to use yet fun, it struggles to compete with most cars on all races. Overall, it can be served as a collectors car as it shouldn't be used for competition.

Both vehicles, including the 1954 Ziblinglo 2K, were not made available as limited editions on November 6, 2022, because Bourgist' wanted to increase their rarity.
