Overview[]
The 2017 Labhrann 490 (Formerly 2017 Labhrann 490 Spider) is a British sports car in Driving Empire that was added on December 19, 2022, as one of the new vehicles for Igloo #1 in the Winter 2022 Event, alongside the now-removed 2023 BKM S2 and now-removed 1996 Cavallo F52 GT. Players could purchase this vehicle at the Winterfest for 1,500 presents.
The vehicle is based on the convertible variant of the McLaren 570s that was unveiled at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed event. It inherits the roof-folding mechanism from the Super Series lineup. The two-piece aluminum roof folds into a compartment behind the car's seats, keeping the rear buttress in place. Unlike the 12C and 650S, which both had convertible variants, the 570S Spider's folding top system required no significant reengineering due to the carbon monocell used in the 570S.
Performance[]
In terms of performance, the car has an average top speed, good braking, and good handling in-game, but poor acceleration. Despite these statistics, it remains one of the easiest cars to use. In spite of being a one-of-a-kind event vehicle, the car's Drag Race performance is widely regarded as one of the worst. It also does somewhat well in the Highway race and the Cross Country race. However, it is regarded as one of the fastest vehicles on Circuit Race in terms of value. Overall, it was intended to be a collector's vehicle in the event, rather than a viable competitor to any of the vehicles available from the dealer.
Bodykits[]
Currently, there is only one bodykit that can be equipped on the 570s Spider.
