Overview

Locations are one of the primary game aspects in Driving Empire. The game map contains several locations for players to explore. Primary locations include major buildings or sites, such as dealerships, race venues and garages which are usually involved with gameplay. Commonly throughout the map are these secondary locations which help flourish the map or otherwise fill up empty areas. Most of the minor locations don't impede the gameplay and are native to Easter Eggs which are placed randomly around the map. However, these are very hidden and hard to spot so players will need to have a good eye to spot them.

On January 31, 2021, the game added a new feature where players can click on the locations button icon to teleport to these major locations, mainly dealerships and races. The locations button can be found at the bottom left corner of their screen.

On March 31, 2023, the Teleport UI was revamped to become a landscape, instead of a portrait design. The tabs were also moved to the left of the UI with the addition of the neighborhood locations. The dealership tab also included the addition of the new Houses Dealership. In the races tab, the player can see the number of people waiting to start a race.

Trivia

  • For some reason, the image toward teleporting to the Boat Dealership location presents the boardwalk rather than the building itself. This was fixed on March 31, 2023, due to the Teleport UI overhaul.
  • The image toward teleporting to the highway race faces the southbound side of the highway, despite the track heading towards the northbound end of the highway.
  • There was a bug where the player's character would end up below the ground whenever teleporting to a location.
  • On January 6, 2023, the position of the locations button was swapped around with the Jobs button. Unlike the Jobs button, it was given no cosmetic changes and the functionality of it has remained the same.
  • The new neighborhood was the first permanent location to have a teleport option without using the teleport location UI.
  • The new Teleport UI's design was most likely taken from the Settings UI.
  • The icon used to show the number of people waiting to start a race is the same that was used the number of passengers the player has collected in the Empire Taxi Event.
