Overview
The 2019 Mclaren Elva (formerly known as the Labhrann U99 Speedster, Labhrann/McBlaren 800 Speedster) is a British hypercar that was added to Driving Empire.
The vehicle was added December 4, 2020. Players could only obtain this vehicle by purchasing the McBlaren Enthusiasts Pack for 800. The price for the pack was then increased to 1,000 on June 16, 2021. On December 23, 2021, the car's featured pack was removed from the game resulting in the vehicle becoming unobtainable.
It returned in the McLaren Licensing Update on June 14, 2024, and can be bought in the McLaren Exclusives Pack with the 620R for 1,400.
The vehicle is a limited-production mid-engine sports car developed by Mclaren Automotive. It was considered to be the fifth addition in the McLaren Ultimate Series, joining the F1, the P1, Senna, and the Speedtail. The open-top characteristic of the Elva was mostly inspired by the Formula One race cars developed by Bruce McLaren in the 1960s.
Performance
The Speedster's listed stats put it below most other hypercars in its price range, as the Speedster's stats are more befitting for a supercar. With a below average top speed, below average 0-60 time, and average handling percentage, the Speedster does not seem to stand out from its competitors.
Realistically, the Speedster is quite impressive in terms of performance. Its quick acceleration and sharp braking help the vehicle move swiftly, but perhaps its most noteworthy feature is its handling. The stock Speedster is capable of taking corners on a level similar to the Labhrann Ayrton (2020), meaning that this vehicle is a promising track car. However, the vehicle has a tendency of slipping when equipped with rear-wheel drive, likely due to the torque. This can be fixed through equipping all-wheel drive.
When maxed out, the U99 Speedster becomes even more adept at taking corners at high speeds, being able to handle them with ease. Although the vehicle suffers from "snapping" occasionally, this vehicle is still quite easy to drive, and is likely able to outperform most of its rivals on the Circuit Race, among other races.
Even though the U99 Speedster was perhaps originally intended as a collector's vehicle, it has demonstrated itself as a strong alternative to the Labhrann Ayrton (2020) for the people that own it.

Trivia
- The name Elva is derived from elle va, which means "she goes" in French.
- The $1,700,000 price tag was probably the sole value of the vehicle.
- This was changed to $2,300,000.
- The "800" part of the in-game name was most likely taken from the Elva's power output, 800 N⋅m (590 lb⋅ft).
- The U99 Speedster is one of the few vehicles to have detailed tires. The tire brand is "Nooblin," which is likely a reference to Michelin tires.
