The McLaren MP4-12C, which was the first ever production car wholly designed and built by McLaren, and their first production road car produced since the McLaren F1, which ended production in 1998. The car's final design was unveiled in September 2009 and was launched in mid-2011. As with the McLaren F1, carbon fiber is used extensively in the vehicle to minimize weight. Performance[]
The McLaren MP4-12C Spider sets itself apart from the rest of the cars in its price range due to being a supercar. Due to this, the MP4-12C Spider has a higher top speed and a lower 0-60 time than many of its competitors. However, its handling is around average, falling behind some sports cars. The MP4-12C Spider's stock acceleration allows it to reach its stock top speed relatively quickly, although the stock brakes are ineffective at stopping the vehicle quickly. The vehicle's handling abilities allow the vehicle to take circuit corners at around 110 mph, which is not the best.'
When maxed, the MP4-12C Spider's acceleration becomes very quick, and the braking strengthens as well, but there is only small improvement to handling.
If you are looking for a early-game grinding car, this car is a good option.
Due to its problems with handling, this vehicle is recommended as a collector's car, and not to be bought for its performance.
