Overview[]

The 1964 Mighty Midget is a British microcar in Driving Empire that was added on July 9th, 2022 as one of the featured limited vehicles, alongside the 2012 Solitude ETA Nurburgring, the 2021 Veloce F37-R, the 1968 Veloce Macchino SV900 and the 2013 Veloce Typhoon S Spyder (now all removed). Upon its introduction, it broke three records. It became the cheapest vehicle in the game, dethroning the 2001 Yamama Marine Sport, with a price tag of just $500, however it has since been dethroned by the 2005 Journey Deluxe. It was also available for 30 days, making it the longest duration limited vehicle. This combination resulted in 1,047,331 being sold, making it the most sold limited vehicle.

The Mighty Midget was removed along with five other vehicles on August 6, 2024. Players received a refund equal to the original vehicle's cost, which was claimable for a maximum duration of one month,

The Midget is based on the Peel P50, a 3-wheeler, single-door microcar developed in the Isle of Man, a tiny island located in the British Isles. It was originally produced from 1962-1965, before being revived and produced since 2010. It is the smallest production car in the world, measuring 137 cm in length and 99 cm in width, weighing just 59 kg. The original model was equipped with 50cc single-cylinder engine producing 4.2 hp, a three-speed manual transmission, and no reverse gear. It was capable of reaching 37 mph (60 km/h) given the right circumstances and came in white, red or blue. 50 original models were built.

Performance[]

With the lowest top speed in the game by far, it cannot compete against any vehicle it faces aside from itself. Furthermore, the nature of this vehicle makes it prone to falling over when turning at high speeds. Accompanied with its low price, the Midget is effectively a joke vehicle, further exaggerated by its bodykit, aptly named "i am speed." and costing $69,000 to install.

Bodykits[]

Currently, there is only one bodykit that can be equipped on the Peel P50.
