This article is about the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (Weissach Package), you may be looking for its base model.

Overview[]

The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Weissach Package is a German sports car that was added to Driving Empire on September 13, 2024, along with the 2024 Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Heritage Design Package. This vehicle is currently available for a limited time, and can be purchased by players in the Cars & Motorcycles Dealership for $1,200,000 or in the game's shop for Robux 900.

This car is basically the current GT2 RS with the application of the Weissach Package option. Its a light-weight package for the GT2 RS that reduces the car's weight by 30 kg (66 lb). It includes a wide variation of parts that use carbon fiber and titanium, such as the carbon fiber roof, anti-roll bars, and coupling rods on both axles, while the roll cage is made from titanium. The package also includes a set of lightweight magnesium wheels to replace the metal alloy rims and the rear window and rear side windows being made from lightweight polycarbonate glass. Weissach (and the track itself) is also embedded on the seats to symbolize the fact that its the Weissach package. While the GT2 RS is already a great car on its own, the package allows it to be more focused for conditions on the track in order to improve the car's agility and cornering speed to create better lap times and more responsive driving.

Trivia[]

  • For its price in-game, it is beyond the current market sale retail price (MSRP) in real life. For reference, the Weissach Package option is only about $31,000 USD.
  • Besides the application of the Weissach Package on the GT2 RS, the difference between this and its on-sale base model in-game aren't that significant.
  • This is the perhaps second or third car with its own package option to be released as a separate car in Driving Empire. The first being the Porsche 918 Spyder 'Weissach Package' and other being the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years 'Heritage Design Package'.
    • Additionally, this variant of the GT2 RS could have potentially been given its own stock options for the base model's customization, rather than being its own separate car.
