Overview
The 2009 Spectro Kortera Lop 13 was an American sports car in Driving Empire that was added sometime around September 10, 2020. Its low price of $28,500 made it one of the cheapest vehicles available for purchase.
This vehicle was based off of the Grand Sport trim level of the sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, a car which was unveiled at the 12th annual C5/C6 Corvette birthday bash. Replacing the previous Z51 option, it was equipped with a 6.2-litre V8 engine producing 430 hp and 575 Nm (424 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Additional features include wider fenders and tires, a revised suspension layout, and launch control. The Grand Sport is capable of completing a 0-60 mph sprint in just over 4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h). The C6 was eventually superseded by the C7 Corvette in 2014.
Performance
The 2009 Spectro Kortera Lop 13 was an excellent starting vehicle for beginners. Due to its high performance for its low cost, it was a very capable car, and could punch well above its weight. Its top speed of 201 mph was unmatched by most beginner vehicles and would hold its own until paired up against supercars. The acceleration was average, but extremely slow in its final gear, resulting in it struggling to climb slopes unless the driver downshifted. As such, it took a while before its top speed was reached, allowing multiple vehicles to easily overtake it. Its handling was average and matches most vehicles at this price point, however due to its average acceleration, it would struggle to keep up with faster accelerating vehicles. Despite this, it still made for a decently fast vehicle, and could be competitive in speed-focused races, but may have fallen behind in handling-focused races.
