Overview[]

The 1968 Veloce Macchino SV900, not to be confused with the base variant or the P600, was an Italian supercar in Driving Empire and was added on July 9th, 2022 as one of the featured limited vehicles, alongside the 2013 Veloce Typhoon S Spyder, the 2021 Veloce F37-R, the 2012 Solitude ETA Nurburgring and the 1964 Mighty Midget. It was available for 6 days, but its extreme price of $6,999,996 resulted in just 3,297 units being sold. It was later removed on September 29th, 2022 due to licensing issues.

This vehicle is based off of the Lamborghini Miura SVR, a one-off special version of the Miura. Initially starting off as a green Miura S, it traded ownership 8 times before German Heinz Straber bought the vehicle and took it to Sant'Agata, where it was transformed into the SVR - a job that took 18 months. It was sold to Hiromitsu Ito in 1976 and was sent over to Japan, where it spent most of its life, inspiring the "Circuit Wolf" comic book series. During this time, Japanese model car company Kyosho produced a series of scale SVRs. In 2018, Polo Storico specialists restored the SVR after 19 months of work, with member Paolo Gabrielli stating that it was "daunting as the car arrived in Sant'Agata in pieces".

Performance[]

Despite the excellent handling the SV900 featured, it was completely useless in terms of racing performace. Its top speed was worse than even some sports cars, and it had comparable acceleration to starter vehicles. This was simply just a collector's vehicle prior to its removal due to its rarity and lacking stats.
